The Fremantle Football club entered the AFL in 1995, currently captained by Matthew Pavlich coached by Mark Harvey. Though the club has so far won no premierships or Brownlow medalists the club has progressed substantially in the 12 years they have been playing. The Dockers are the baby team in the league and are known for their 'spirited' fans!

The West Coast Eagles formed in 1986 and was the first WA team to play in the AFL. The current captain is Darren Glass and the coach is John Worsfold. As one of the most successful teams in the competition the Eagles have won premierships in 1992, 1994 and 2006. Players have won almost every medal in the league and continue to be a fierce competitor.

The Western Force is a rugby union team which competes in the international super 14. The captain of the team is Australian rugby star Nathan Sharpe and is coached by John mitchell. 'The Force' as its more commonly known may still be the games underdog, but have imese support from fans. The Force finished the season with the highest membership crowds of all the Australian Teams and support continues to grow as the team proves themselves a real contender.

Perth Glory was officially formed in 1996. The team competes in the A-Leaguen and the National Youth League as well as numerous international competitions. The current coach of the squad is David Mitchell. Glory finished top of the ladder in 2003 and 2004 adn finished as runner up in 2000 and 2002. Perth Glory has a international star studded team as well as some Aussie ledgends.

The Perth Wildcats were founded in 1982and are based at Challenge Stadium. They are the only team in the league representing Western Australia. The currrent coach of the Wildcats is Connor Henry and the captain is Paul Rogers. The Wildcats have been in the finals consistently since 1987, and have won champions in 1990, 1991, 1995 and 2000.

The West Coast Fever is the West Australian netball team., which has evolved from the Perth Orioles. The team is based at Challenge Stadium and is coached by Sue Gaudion. The team compete in the ANZ Championship.

The Western Warriors represent Australia in the first class Australian matches and was founded in 1851. The current captain is Marcus North and the coach, Tom Moody. West Australia joined the Sheffield Sheild in 1947 and has since won the Pura Cup 15 times and the Ford Ranger Cup 11 times.
