There is also no shortage of boutique breweries in the region for those with different tastes. Check out some natural wonders when visiting the region. Explore Mammoth Cave and Jewel Cave and learn how the facinating formations evolved. Visit the ancient Valley of the giants in Walpole and walk amongst the giants 38 meters above the forest floor. For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground enjoy the board walk that weaves through the base of the trees. The South West is home to four distinctive tree families, the Karri, Jarrah, Tuart and Tingle. Perhaps you want to challenge yourself to climb the Glouchester tree? At 61 meters high the tree was used as a lookout for fires from 1947, the view from the top is breathtaking, but not for the faint hearted.

Dont forget to pay a visit to the famous Margaret River Chocolate Factory and Cheese Factory. The Chocolate Factory has been producing award winning chocolate since 1999. Enjoy free tastings, interactive displays and some facinating insight to how the chocolate is made. The cheese factory was established in Margaret River in 1990 and has since produced top quality products from fresh local ingredients. The Aborigional history in the area dates back 50,000 years when it was first settled by the Noongar people, which translates to 'man'. Their culture has been preserved in the South West and is a facinating look at early life in the area.
