Perth experiences more sunlight than any other Australian city with a mediterranean climate and long hot summers with temperatures in the mid to high 30's, and mild cold winters where temperatures are around 12-20 degrees.

The Swan Valley is truly a place of indulgence with more award winning wines and fresh local produce than you can handle! Or stay close to the heart of the city and be imersed in the relaxed daytime culture or the exiting nightlife.

 

Rottnest Island is an absolute must see when travelling to perth. Locally known as Rotto its only a a 30 minute trip from the mainland by ferry. There is endless activities on the island. Hire a bike, snorkel, take a guided tour, explore the museum, play a round of golf, see a movie and have a meal in the cafes. Theres selcuded spots to surf, enjoy a scenic flight, stay in a tent or stay in a villa. Rottnest has something to suit everyone, whether your staying for a week or a few hours.

       

 Perth was comolised as a free settlement unlike the other Australian cities that were settled as penal colonies, however Perth has a facinating convict history. Fremantle prison was the last operating prison of its type and has remained virtually intact since it closed. Rottnest Island was also at one stage used as an Aborigiolan prison and its tunnels and early colonial buildings are open to the public to step back in time. Anthropologists also suggest that the Aborigional people represent one of the oldest known living cultures on Earth. Dating back thousands of years it is believed that some of the oldest examples of Aborigional art in the country.
